  From our very first contact with Helen Sands of Marcela Properties we have had a consistent, attentive and very happy experience. My husband went to visit the Vale da Telha area in May 2012 and Helen not only showed him a selection of properties but also show him the facilities around the area.  We both visited in October 2012 and Helen was fully aware of our budget and requirements and showed us some properties patiently listening to our needs and requests.  On placing our initial offer Helen always communicated promptly and accurately, letting us know the legal and fiscal obligations entailed.  Our offer was accepted and we exchanged in January 2013, which meant Helen was busy during the Christmas holidays coordinating the sale.  Since our purchase, the support and advice of Marcela Properties does not end there! Helen gave us great advice and contacts with property maintenance, pool maintenance, insurance, banking etc etc.  Having the office in Aljezur has been a fantastic bonus during 2013 as we can pop into Helen and just say hello or ask for her advice......priceless!   We spent two years working with Helen to sell our home in the West Algarve.  It was an incredibly difficult time in the market, but Helen stuck with us and worked diligently to find the right buyers.  Over that period she made a wonderful effort to keep in contact with us and provide updates.

  Furthermore Helen was excellent in dealing with all paperwork, Solicitors, the Camara, and Architects.  Helen has great capacity to follow-through in all areas of real estate, whether it is confirming approval from the Camara or retrieving proper documentation from Solicitors.  Her vast knowledge of the market and the region are of great benefit to any client.  Additionally, both Helen and Graeme have extensive contacts in the Algarve which proved extremely helpful to us.

  Helen is incredibly patient and personable.  She is ALWAYS reachable, returning our phone calls, emails and text messages any time we had a question.  She is very knowledgeable about contracts and paperwork in Portugal.  Lastly, Helen has an emotional maturity that was very comforting for us in the long process of selling our home in Portugal.  My husband and I would definitely recommend Helen to anyone either selling or buying in the Algarve region.  She will not let you down!

  Last August Helen Sands of Marcela Properties was asked by a contact of ours to establish a suitable selection of properties in order to maximise the time that me and my wife during our visit to the Algarve in September.
  Helen immediately got the picture of our requirements which we communicated by emails. We immediately had confidence and reassurance of her enormous know-how on both the region and the business of real estate in Portugal.
  During this short stay, all the houses we selected were visited in only two days, at least once. A decision was taken, our offer accepted and here comes the best part:
  From the beginning of October until completion in mid-December Helen managed to be a perfect ‘liaison’ between owner and buyer. A rare and unique combination of feel-good on both sides!
  Awaiting the legal investigation she kept informing both parties upon the way ahead and kept pushing the lawyers and solicitors to make their call.
